Kathmandu. On the occasion of the seventh anniversary of Nepal’s first insurance-related online portal ‘InsuranceKhabar.com’, ‘Rima Seva Samaj’ has been provided financial assistance.
A team of Insurance Khabar donated Rs 55,555 as financial assistance to rima seva samaj ashram at Golfutar in Budhanilkantha, Kathmandu. Keshav Prasad Bhandari, president of Capital News Network, the promoter company of Insurance Khabar, handed over the cheque to Rima Sapkota, chairperson and director of the society.
Insurance Khabar has entered its eighth year after completing its seventh year from Thursday. President Bhandari said that they were very happy to provide financial assistance to the organization which has done virtuous work in the society by giving shelter to helpless people on the occasion of the anniversary. He said that they are committed to help in the coming days as well.
Chairperson of the society and director Sapkota thanked a popular online media for providing financial support to the society established with a sacred purpose. She also informed that various organizations and individuals have been supporting the society in this way on various occasions.
Rima Seva Samaj, which started from Gongbu in Kathmandu, is currently operating in Golfutar. Sapkota said that for the last six years, they have been providing shelter to the helpless by constructing a temporary ashram by taking rented land in Golfutar. “At present, there are 62 dependents, including five children,” she said.
The society has already started construction of permanent houses. “The construction work of the building has been forwarded at Bhangal of Budhanilkantha,” she said, adding, “We are expecting support from various organisations and dignitaries for this purpose.”
Sapkota said that the local administration and police are providing shelter to the helpless people stranded on the road. “Now, after the construction of the building in Bhangal, the target is to provide ease of living to at least 100 people,” she said.
Executive Editor of Insurance Khabar Jairam Gautam, Senior Correspondent Nanu Khadka (Nirjala), Correspondent Inusa Koirala and Romi Gurung of Maldimdia were present on the occasion. The program was attended by the dependents of the society.
