Kathmandu. The more amicable and quick ly insurance companies show when they accept an insurance offer, the exact opposite is done at the time of making a claim. Complaints of trouble in paperwork, collection of various documentary evidence, harassment in the name of investigation have often been heard. Moreover, there are also those who say that the insurance company not only collects money but does not give claims.
However, the data paints a very different picture to neutralize all of this. In the last five years, life and non-life insurance companies have paid a total of Rs 350.25 billion in claims.

The amount paid by insurance companies is about 40 percent of the amount deposited in the insurance fund. As mentioned in the 59th annual report of the NRA, the fiscal year 2077 BS. 78 to 2081. Life insurers have paid a total of Rs 254.57 billion in claims during the period 82 (till Mid-Chaitra). A total of 1.119 million insured and their dependents have benefited from the claims received from the life insurance company during this period.

Similarly, the non-life insurer has paid a total of Rs 95.68 billion to the insured as compensation claim. The non-life insurer has paid this amount as insurance claim of Rs 681,000.
