Insurance companies dominate the top 10 stocks traded in the stock market today.

Kathmandu. The stock market rose sharply on Monday. The NEPSE index increased by 47.22 points to close at 2647.44.

All the 13 sub-groups in the Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) index increased on the day. The highest growth rate was seen in the life insurance group at 4.94 percent.

Shares of 215 companies increased while 37 companies declined. On this day, the share prices of 6 companies are stable.

More than Rs 7 billion was traded in the market today. Nepal Life Insurance Company Ltd (NLIC) has made the most turnover.
