Kathmandu. Nepal Insurance Board (NEB) has warned of action against health institutions providing services to the insured for not providing services as per the agreement.
The Insurance Board has issued a circular in the name of all service providing health institutions. “There have been news reports stating that the health institutions enlisted in the health insurance programme have not provided services to the insured as per the agreement reached with the Insurance Board due to various reasons,” the circular reads. ’
The Insurance Board has directed the health providers to provide quality health services as per the agreement. “Action will be taken as per the Health Insurance Act, 2074 and Regulations, 2075 if the works are not carried out as per the agreement,” the circular warned.
