Kathmandu. Tensions between India and Pakistan are at an all-time high. After the Pahalgam terror attack, India has carried out air strikes on terror targets in Pakistan and Kashmir.
India has taken several steps to take precautions as tensions have escalated in Pakistan’s border areas. About 25 airports in the northern and western parts of India have been temporarily closed. As a result, hundreds of flights have also been canceled.

According to PTI, more than 400 flights have been cancelled in Pakistan amid restrictions imposed after the missile attack on terror camps in Pakistan in the wake of Indian air strikes under Operation Sindoor. Some foreign airlines including Air India, IndiGo, SpiceJet, Air India Express, Akasa Air have also cancelled their services at various airports.

India had earlier decided to temporarily close 18 airports after Operation Sindoor. Since then, their number has been increased to 25, including srinagar airport. Srinagar, Leh, Jammu, Amritsar, Pathankot, Chandigarh, Jodhpur, Jaisalmer, Shimla, Dharamshala and Jamnagar airports have also been temporarily closed.

India has already closed its airspace for flights to Pakistan. Under this, India has closed 25 air routes after attacks on Terrorist Bases in Pakistan. According to officials, about 25 flights allowing all aircraft to enter Pakistan through Indian airspace have been closed until further notice. Due to the escalating tension between India and Pakistan, many foreign airlines have also stopped using Pakistan’s airspace.
The tension between India and Pakistan has increased since April 22. The day when terrorists opened fire on unarmed tourists in Pahalgam’s Baisran Valley questioning them about their religion.
