Kathmandu. Have you ever thought that your car runs on water fuel? This is not a fantasy, it is now becoming a reality in the world of science.

Scientists in Japan have developed a revolutionary hydrogen battery. It runs at a temperature of 90 degrees Celsius. This innovation will not only bring hydrogen energy accessible to the masses, but it has the potential to transform our transportation and energy systems.

Solving the traditional problem

}

To date, storing hydrogen safely has been a major challenge. Hydrogen had to be stored in liquid state at a very cold temperature of -253 °C or at extreme pressures of 350–700 bar. This made the use of hydrogen very risky and expensive. But this new battery developed by researchers at the Tokyo Institute of Science has solved all these problems.

The battery uses magnesium hydroide (MgH2), which works at a temperature of only 90 degrees Fahrenheit. Which is much safer and less expensive than the traditional method. The discovery has helped make the dream of making hydrogen the “fuel of the future” a reality.

Benefits for the common man{

This technology can make a lot of positive changes in our lives:

Safe and Practical Energy

Temperatures of 90 degrees are normal in our daily lives. This makes the storage and use of hydrogen safer. Now filling your car with hydrogen will be less risky than filling up with petrol or diesel.

Clean Traffic System

}

Hydrogen fuel cell vehicles emit only water. This new battery increases the reach and range of hydrogen vehicles. This will reduce the air pollution of our city and allow us to breathe clean air.

Excess electricity from solar and wind energy can be converted into hydrogen and stored in this battery. This will help maintain a balance between the supply and demand of energy and provide us with round-the-clock access to clean energy.

Cheap and Sustainable Solutions

Magnesium is a cheap and abundant metal used in batteries. This reduces the battery’s production cost and allows it to be brought to the mass market. Its sustainability and recyclability also make it environmentally friendly.

Path to the Future

This innovation will position hydrogen not only in the industrial sector but also as the energy used in our homes, cars and businesses. This will reduce our dependence on fossil fuels and can also help countries like Nepal make their energy systems cleaner and self-sufficient.

The development of this hydrogen battery has shown us not only the dream of clean energy, but also the way to turn that dream into reality.
