Kathmandu. Finance Minister Bishnu Poudel said that the fiscal year 2082 BS. They are presenting a budget of Rs 83.
Finance Minister Poudel has made public the government’s commitment while presenting the budget in the joint sitting of parliament. He said the government was committed to take the country out of the risk of money laundering ahead of schedule.
Similarly, enhancing the credibility of the economy would be an important agenda of the government and economic reforms would be carried out to achieve a higher rating by mobilizing external capital to meet the encouraging results obtained from the first sovereign credit, poudel said.
Poudel said the private sector was encouraged by the legal reforms carried out through the ordinance to boost the morale of the private sector and create an environment for investment. “Economic activity will be increased qualitatively by attracting private sector capital and trends by focusing public investment on returning sectors,” he said.
Poudel said that the private sector would be established in the role of a key driver of economic prosperity by reforming more policy and legal processes in areas contributing high to economic growth. “The recommendations of the High Level Economic Reform Commission will be implemented gradually,” he said.
According to Poudel, resources will be diversified to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) by 2030 and to meet the shortfall of investment after upgrading to developing countries by 2026. “Nepalis will be attracted to become employment in the country in foreign employment,” he said, adding that programmes targeting youth employment would be launched by promoting innovation and entrepreneurship. ’
