Kathmandu. The insured associated with the health insurance program will now be able to get medical services from any health institution they need.
The Health Insurance Board has issued a notification for the fiscal year 2082. The insured will be able to avail medical services from any health facility he or she needs from the beginning of July 83. According to the Board, the insured can get health services from any service provider health institution that has received permission from the Insurance Board to act as the first service point.
Earlier, the insured had to take the service only from the first service point to choose for health insurance. As a result, the insured was facing problems due to the provision of reaching the first service point while staying or staying anywhere in Nepal.
According to the Insurance Board, this arrangement has been made to provide insurance facility to the insured in an easy and simple manner as there are continuous complaints from the insured about this problem.
Earlier, the Insurance Board has decided to remove community and private health institutions from the first service point. Now, the Insurance Board has made arrangements that only government health institutions will be the first service point from July 1.
