Kathmandu. Kathmandu Metropolitan City (KMC) has directed the institutional (private) schools in the municipality area to distribute scholarships to 10 percent of the total number of students in the new academic session 2082.
Kathmandu Metropolitan City (KMC) has issued a circular in the name of institutional schools in the Kathmandu Metropolitan Region. Kathmandu Metropolitan City (KMC) has directed to make arrangements for the distribution of scholarships within the first week of May after receiving applications from the students and their parents.
According to the Compulsory and Free Education Act, 2075 and The Kathmandu Metropolitan City Education Act, 2075, there is a provision to provide scholarships on the basis of inclusiveness to meritorious, poor, helpless and poor, disabled, women, Dalits, tribals, conflict victims and students of martyred families. The circular has directed to provide scholarships as per the decision of the Scholarship Selection Committee to be formed as per the provision contained in Sub-section (3) of Section 50 of the Kathmandu Metropolitan City Education Act, 2075 BS.
The metropolitan city has also directed to submit the details of the scholarship distribution using the user I and password obtained by the school.
