Kathmandu. All government offices across the country will remain open from Sunday till 4 pm.
According to a notice published in the Nepal Gazette, all government offices across the country will remain open from 10 am to 4 pm from November 30 to January 29.
During this period, the office will be closed at 3 pm on Friday, according to the Ministry of Home Affairs.
Due to the shorter daylight hours during the winter season, office hours are reduced by one hour for three months each year.
With the Gen-G movement wreaking havoc, shrinking government revenues, and frequent Dashain and Tihar holidays, the election government may take a special decision on the office hours of essential services.
