According to the company’s announcement on Tuesday, google is going to change local domains soon. So far, there are local Google domains for different countries.
These local domains of Google have been in use for many years and are used to provide local search results. Now under the new changes, the company will remove country code top level domains. Instead, users will go directly to Google.com.
Since 2017, Google has been providing x-rays of real-time physical locations. So that the relevant search results can be delivered to the user.
Google has said that this update will soon reach all users. It may take a few months. After this process is completed, when the user types any country code in the URL, it will automatically be redirected to Google.com.
