Kathmandu. Minister for Foreign Affairs Arju Rana Deuba is inaugurating the Garden Resort and Spa at Pokhara Lakeside.
Foreign Minister Deuba inaugurated the lakeside hotel on Wednesday. Anshubhara Group, chaired by Gandaki State Minister Bindu Kumar Thapa, has set up a star hotel named Garden Resort and Spa with an investment of Rs 700 million.
A major fire broke out at the Party Palace of Bagayan Adventure Resort at Gaindakot Municipality-11 in Nawalpur district on Wednesday morning. The main assembly hall of the resort, which has a capacity to accommodate 500 people, was gutted in the fire. It is believed that the fire was caused by an electrical short circuit, but it is not yet clear.
By the time the fire was brought under control with the help of fire brigade, police and locals, the structure of the hotel had been severely damaged. Santosh Dhital, the owner of this hotel, had brought the resort into operation one and a half years ago after nine years of continuous hard work. Although the seminar hall and restaurant of the resort were damaged in the fire, the part towards the tourist accommodation building is safe from the fire.
Spread over an area of four ropanis in lakeside, garden resort Ant Spa has 32 rooms, four types of luxury suites (standard, executive, arbor suite, garden suite). Saugat Thapa, the owner of the resort, said that the daily price of these rooms ranges from $ 150 to $ 350.
