All foreign nationals living in the United States for more than 30 days must register with the federal government, press secretary Carolyn Lavet said. “Failure to comply with this law is a crime punishable with fines, prisons, or both, as President Donald Trump and Homeland Security Secretary Christy Noem have said, if you don’t register, you will be arrested, fined, deported, and will never be able to return to our country,” she said. ’

Meanwhile, the U.S. Department of Homeland Security issued a press release on April 11 asking foreign nationals to register under the Act. Homeland Security Secretary Christy Noem said: “There is a clear message for President Trump and those who enter my country illegally: leave our country now.” ’

In this press statement, foreign nationals who have been present in the US for 30 days or more till April 11 without proof of registration have been asked to register immediately by April 11. Foreign nationals arriving in the US on or after April 11 without registration proof have been asked to register within 30 days of their arrival. – Agency
