Kathmandu. Breaking the void of midnight, smoke and flames emanating from a huge factory terrified the entire settlement. Sharmaji, the factory owner, was engulfed in a sea of anguish for his fortune, which had turned crores to ashes overnight. There was deep grief on his face and tears could not stop flowing from his eyes.

He informed the insurance company about the fire. The next day, he submitted the necessary documents for the insurance claim along with the damage data to the insurance company. It was a terrible tragedy to see in his factory.

However, the claim of this fire came into the hands of the surveyor Arjun, who was suspecting some foul play about the fire incident from the beginning. Even with such heavy damage, why were all the security cameras in the factory suddenly switched off just hours before the fire? Why was the fire control system installed in the factory premises deactivated?

As Arjun delved deeper into Sharmaji’s lifestyle and business, minor contradictions began to indicate a bigger disturbance. Nevertheless, the profits on paper are evident enough to be mired in heavy debts.

Surveyor Arjun’s suspicions were strengthened when evidence was found that he had secretly sold all his valuables and expensive machines a week before the fire.

As the investigation deepened, it became clear that this was not a fate or an accident, it was a well-planned drama to get crores of insurance money. Behind the mask of mourning that Sharmaji was deceiving the society and the insurance company was a nail of greed and deceit. He had the audacity to burn his own property to get out of debt and claim it as a natural calamity.

In the end, the seemingly innocent factory owner was the main culprit. His plan failed and the insurance claim was rejected. The cold cells awaited Sharmaji, who dreamed of getting rich soon. This incident shows how the greed of a few people tries to destroy the entire faith and system.

True Events

On August 30, 2081, the shopkeepers set fire to the Muktinath Shopping Center located at Nareshwor Chowk in Pokhara Metropolitan City-6 at 2:10 am. Promising to get rid of the loss-making business and debt, he set fire to his shop with his friend and demanded a compensation of Rs 1 crore from the insurance company.

As the nature of the incident was suspicious, the police investigated the fire and confirmed that it was premeditated in the initial phase. During the police investigation, it was confirmed that the shop owner had set the shop on fire with the help of another person. Immediately after this was confirmed, the police arrested two persons including the shop owner on the charge of cheating and initiated legal action.
