Employees of Securities Board of Nepal go on strike for 14 days

Kathmandu. Employees of the Securities Board of Nepal (SEBON) have continued their agitation against the issue of reduction in perks.

The Securities Board of Nepal (SEBON) Employees Union and Independent Employees Union have continued their protest against the government’s decision. They have demanded that the government withdraw its decision to curtail the perks and perks of the employees and maintain the autonomy of the Securities Board of Nepal.

Issuing a circular on September 14, the Ministry of Finance had decided to cut down on various services and facilities that the employees have been enjoying since the establishment of the Securities Board of Nepal (SEBON) and to return the amount of services and facilities used by the employees from the past till now and to recover the amount as government dues. The agitation started by the employees of the Securities Board of Nepal against this decision has entered the 14th day today.

Meanwhile, Nepal Financial Institutions Employees Association (NBS) has expressed solidarity with the protest by the employees of the Securities Board of Nepal (SEBON). The association has demanded the immediate withdrawal of the erroneous decision of the Finance Ministry and the autonomy of the Securities Board of Nepal.
