Kathmandu. A Digital Finance Innovation Hub has been established at Nepal Rastra Bank.
The Rastra Bank has established this hub with the aim of further stimulating innovation by expanding easy access to regulators. The central bank has stated that this type of right has been established with the aim of informing financial innovators working in this sector about the existing policy and regulatory arrangements in the context of developing modern technology-based financial services in the banking and payment systems sector.
The Rastra Bank has stated that it can provide regulatory perspectives, non-binding guidance, consultation and suggestions by analyzing innovative proposals in the financial sector received from stakeholders and the opportunities and challenges they may bring. The Rastra Bank has clarified that arrangements have been made for the private sector to also participate in this hub.
