Kathmandu. Nabil Bank Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Gyanendra Dhungana has resigned from his post.
Dhungana had submitted his resignation to the board of directors. The board of directors meeting held this morning has accepted Dhungana’s resignation with effect from Chaitra 10.
Dhungana is in the race to become the governor of Nepal Rastra Bank. That is why he resigned from the CEO post from Nabil Bank, according to a bank source.
With the acceptance of Dhungana’s resignation, the bank’s board of directors has given the responsibility of acting CEO to Manoj Kumar Gyawali. Gyawali is currently the senior deputy CEO at the bank.
