Kathmandu. Dev Urja Construction Limited, which has made its own identity in the construction sector, has completed all the major works of civil and hydro-mechanical aspects of the 22.5 MW Upper Big Khola Hydropower Project.
Dev Urja Construction has already completed the civil and hydro-mechanical works by mid-February 2081 and handed it over to the electromechanical team. Bfl Company of India is currently carrying out electromechanical work of upper big khola ‘A’ hydropower project.
Chief Executive Officer of Dev Group of Companies, Nabin Silwal, said, “During the construction of the project, the construction of the project would be completely disrupted due to landslides in the headworks and powerhouse areas at different times during the construction of the project. Due to tireless hard work and continuous efforts, we have been able to complete the civil and hydro-mechanical works ahead of the stipulated time and successfully hand it over to the electromechanical team. ”
The civil and hydro-mechanical work of the Upper Big Khola Hydropower Project was formally started on February 1, 2019 by organizing a bhoomi pujan program. After that, the main work of civil structure was started on behalf of Dev Urja Construction in 2080 BS.
Pradeep Khatiwada, financial chief of the company, said that although the project was scheduled to be completed on October 1, 2082 BS, it would be successful in completing the project before that and connecting it to the national transmission line. The project is estimated to cost Rs 3.94 billion.
Of this, 75 percent will be loan and 25 percent will be self-capital. Under the leadership of Citizens Bank, Agriculture Development Bank and Machhapuchhre Bank have invested in this project. The project is being constructed in Raghuganga Rural Municipality-8 of Magdi district.
