Kathmandu. Casinos will now have to obtain a license to transact foreign currency.
Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) has made it mandatory for casinos and other institutions to obtain permission to transact foreign currency. This means that casinos will have to get permission from the central bank to trade in foreign currency.
According to Clause 3 of the Foreign Exchange (Regulation) Act, 2019, the business of foreign exchange should be done only after obtaining a license from the central bank.
