Kathmandu. Mark Carney will remain the Prime Minister of Canada. Because under his leadership, the Liberal Party has won the Canadian general election.
When Mark was elected leader of the Liberal Party in March, he received 85 percent of the party’s votes. During his election campaign, he said that he had experience dealing with global economic crises and would take a tough stance against US President Donald Trump’s trade war.
Carney is a familiar face to some in Canada and the UK. He is an expert in financial matters and has led the Bank of Canada and the Bank of England.
Carney was born in Fort Smith. He is the first Canadian prime minister to come from the North.
Carney has studied at universities such as Harvard and Oxford. The 60-year-old Carney has taken a strong stance against Donald Trump and has said that he will never allow Canada to become the 51st state of the US.
Trump claimed that he wanted to make Canada the 51st state of the United States.
