Kathmandu. Mahindra & Mahindra has officially launched its new special Carbon Edition after the huge success of its popular SUV Scorpio-N. The company has launched this special edition to celebrate the sale of 2 lakh units of Scorpio-N.
The starting price of the new Scorpio-N Carbon Edition has been set at Rs 19.19 lakh (ex-showroom). The special edition features a metallic black theme, smoked chrome accents, black alloy wheels and dark galvano-finished roof rails. Which further enhances its bold design.
With the Carbon Edition, the use of chrome around the body of the Scorpio-N has been reduced. For example, the chrome door handles and window side moldings have been given a black-out finish. Even the 18-inch alloy wheels and roof rails will get the same dark theme. The Carbon Edition is offered in a single stealth black paint.
All variants of this SUV are around Rs 20,000 more expensive than the regular model. The price ranges from Rs 19.19 lakh to Rs 24.89 lakh for the top variant. This includes petrol and diesel engines with manual or automatic transmission.
The interior of this Carbon Edition is also made more premium than before. Its interior includes premium leatherette seats, contrast deco-stitching and smoked chrome finish. Apart from this, the roof liner and door trims are blacked out. This SUV is available for sale only in the 7-seater variant. It has an 8-inch touchscreen, electric sunroof, multiple drive modes, dual-zone AC, 12 speakers and 6 airbags. It is available only in the Z8 and Z8L seven-seater variants.
The Scorpio-N is available with multiple powertrain options. It is powered by a 2.0-litre mStallion TGDI petrol engine that produces 203PS of power and 370Nm (manual) or 380Nm (automatic) of torque. Apart from this, it also has the option of a 2.2-litre mHavak CRDI diesel engine that produces 175PS of power and 400Nm of torque. Both petrol and diesel variants have 6-speed manual and 6-speed automatic transmission options.
