Kathmandu. Kathmandu: Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) has directed to make public the details of borrowers who have received concessional loans.
The central bank has amended the unified directive issued for banks and financial institutions and directed the banks to make public the separate details of borrowers who have received concessional loans on a quarterly basis through their website. In the earlier directive, there was a provision to make public the details of borrowers who have received concessional loans to the banks quarterly through their website.
A few days ago, the Ministry of Finance had issued the Working Procedure on Interest Subvention for Concessional Loans, 2082 BS. According to the same procedure, the Rastra Bank will provide the grant amount received from the Government of Nepal on the loan.
According to the procedure, the amount of interest subsidy due from the Government of Nepal by disbursing the loan can be given zero percent risk weight for the purpose of calculating the capital fund ratio.
