Kathmandu. The Nepal Insurance Authority (NEA) has made the second amendment to the directive on corporate governance of the insurer.
The NRA has made the second amendment to the directive, adding a provision related to the transfer of assistance amount to the government fund. Prior to this, there was no provision for financial assistance to the government fund.
The Authority has added clause (e) after clause (d) of sub-section (2) of Clause 45 of the Directive, 2080. Clause (e) of the bill states that the insurer can now contribute financial assistance to the fund established by the Government of Nepal for the reconstruction, economic recovery and relief of the damages caused by natural disaster, civil movement, public demonstration or any other cause. Earlier, this provision was not included in the guideline.
