ADB projects Nepal’s economic growth rate to be 4.4%

Kathmandu. The Asian Development Bank (ADB) has projected Nepal’s economic growth rate to be 4.4 percent in the current fiscal year 2081.82.

This projection was made in the Asian Development Outlook published by the ADB today. ADB has estimated that Nepal’s economic growth rate in the current fiscal year will increase compared to the previous fiscal year 2080.81. Nepal’s economic growth rate in the previous fiscal year was 3.9 percent.

ADB has projected that the economic growth rate in the upcoming fiscal year 2082.83 will increase further compared to the current year. The ADB estimates that the economic growth rate will increase to 5.1 percent in the coming year.

The ADB has stated that the stability in the prices of major economic sectors, construction, industrial production, petroleum and raw materials, and the availability of investable capital will expand in the current fiscal year. The ADB report states that falling interest rates have paved the way for credit expansion in all productive sectors.
