Kathmandu. Nepal Insurance Authority (NEA) Gandaki Province Office has organized an insurance interaction program on October 2. The program was organized in the presence of insurance stakeholders, provincial chiefs of insurance companies based in Gandaki Province, office-bearers of Nepal Insurance Professional Society, Pokhara Chapter, office-bearers of Nepal Surveyor Association Kaski Chapter.
Nepal Insurance Authority Gandaki Province Chief Shambhu Prasad Mishra formally welcomed Sushil Dev Subedi, Managing Director of Nepal Insurance Authority, to Pokhara.
The program was chaired by the Executive Director of Nepal Insurance Authority. On the occasion, NEA Managing Director Subedi said that the authority was doing homework to resolve the problems related to the insurance sector. Stating that no one would be spared in the offense related to the insurer, the employees of the insurer said that if found involved in such an act, the offender would be punished and action would be taken against the insurer.
He also urged the insurance authority to inform the insurance authority through mail if any amendment is required in the policy and regulations. He also clarified the confusion among the stakeholders regarding the provisions related to the registration and cancellation of insurance agents.
Chairman of NIPS Pokhara Chapter, Badri Nath Poudel, highlighted the contribution of insurance companies in making the insurance business competitive and urged the participants to work according to the policy and regulations.
Buddhiraj Adhikari, coordinator of Nisha Pokhara Chapter, urged the NRA to make arrangements for the surveyors to evaluate the damage on small claims so that there would be no situation of new surveyors migrating.
Kedar Nath Adhikari, central president of the Professional Insurance Agents Association, stressed on the need of revising the qualifications of new life insurance agents to make SLC. On the occasion, the insurance stakeholders expressed their commitment to operate the insurance business as per the prevailing Acts, Byelaws, Directives, Working Procedures and Circulars.
