With the increase in Himalayan relay investment, Nepal riko has decreased, how much in which sector?

Kathmandu. Currently, two reinsurance companies are in operation. One is the state-owned Nepal Reinsurance Company (Nepal Re) and the other is the private sector-promoted Himalayan Reinsurance (Himalayan Re).

Nepal Insurance Authority (NEA) has released the fiscal year 2081 BS. According to the data till the fourth quarter of 2018, both these reinsurance companies have invested Rs 41.26 billion in various sectors. Last year 2080. The two companies had invested Rs 38.56 billion in various sectors. Compared to the previous year, there has been an increase of 6.39 percent in the review year.

In the review year, Nepal Ri has invested Rs 20.72 billion and Himalayan Ri has invested Rs 20.30 billion. In the previous fiscal year, Nepal Ri had invested Rs 20.78 billion and Himalayan Ri rs 17.77 billion. Nepal Ri’s investment declined by 0.30 percent in the review year compared to the previous year, while Himalayan Rico increased by 14.20 percent.

In the review year, a large part of the investment of these two reinsurance companies was seen in the fixed deposits of the banks. Both the reinsurers have invested Rs 29.49 billion in fixed deposits of banks. Fixed deposits account for 71.90 per cent of the total investment.

In the last fiscal year, Rs 14.82 billion was invested in Nepal Relay A bank, Rs 260 million in infrastructure bank, Rs 1.86 billion in B category development bank and Rs 400 million in C category financial institutions.

Nepal Relay has invested Rs 94.7 million in ordinary shares of listed public companies, Rs 1.41 billion in preference shares, bonds, debentures and debentures of banks and financial institutions, Rs 120.9 million in citizen investment funds and mutual funds, Rs 596.5 million in other founder shares, Rs 507.2 million in shares of unlisted public companies and Rs 650 million in other sectors.

On the other hand, Himalayan Relay A category banks have fixed deposits of Rs 12.15 billion, listed public companies shares of Rs 5.18 billion, preference shares of banks and financial institutions, bonds, debentures and debentures Rs 1.08 billion, citizen investment funds and mutual funds Rs 6 million, investment company shares Rs 1.05 billion. It has invested Rs 225 million in other founder shares and Rs 470 million in other sectors.
