It is said, ‘Where there is a will, there is a remedy.’ Yes, Dhwaj Bahadur Khadka is a rich person with such thinking. He is a man with the principle that if even the impossible can be done properly, it is possible in spite of challenges.

Dhwaj, who was born in Patalkot of Sanfebagar Municipality-14 in Achham in 2026 BS, is currently residing in Kohalpur Municipality. It has been 28 years since he came to Kohalpur from Achham.

Currently, Dhwaj is the Chief Business Officer (CBO) of Citizen Life Insurance. Dhwaj has taken charge of half of sudurpaschim, Karnali and Lumbini provinces. He has been carrying out his responsibilities such as team management, agent management, training, enforcing the company’s policy rules, making plans and planning of the branches under his province. Dhwaj is not only responsible for his responsibility but also to share insurance education.

Dhwaj’s childhood was spent normally. Dhwaj was adamant on dreaming big from an early age, being the leader of the team when he played with his friends. He studied in sanfebagar of Achham, his native place, till class 4. He then completed his post-graduation from Mumbai. Since his father’s job was in Mumbai, he got a chance to study there. He met with a major accident when he went to Mumbai. With the huge investment of the family in that accident, he got a new life again. He continued his studies with many sorrows and struggles.

Dhwaj had to lose his father while doing plus two by giving SLC. Dhwaj found it very difficult to lose his parents in the house. After his father’s death, he started studying on his own. He initially started working as a salesman at Canon Company. It was not difficult for Dhwaj to handle his studies and work, but he continued to handle it.

Dhwaj got the opportunity to travel to many parts of India for sales work. He returned to Nepal after staying outside. After coming to Nepal, Dhwaj took up the teaching profession. The flag was interested in sales. It is difficult to pursue a career that is different from your choice. As a teacher, Dhwaj worked only for about 6-7 months.

Dhwaj then heard the news that he had opened a job in united mission to Nepal. After that, he prepared to come to Kathmandu. After four days of struggle to get out of the house, he came to Kathmandu and got his name in an interview with INGO. He worked in that company for 7 years. Even at INGOs, he always worked hard and struggled to perform well.

While working at INGOs, a friend known to Dhwaj said, ‘You become an insurance agent.’ It’s a good income. The insurance sector is also good. The insurance sector is the best in all respects, he said, adding that work can be done whenever there is time. Dhwaj had a general knowledge of insurance even before his friend could tell him. Dhwaj accepted his friend’s request and took agent training in Nepal Life. After training, he became more interested in the agent profession and started working from Nepal Life in 2058 BS after obtaining a license.

Within a short time of getting the license, the flag did good business. Within a month of becoming an agent, he managed to buy ghaderis. Within a short span of time, he became known as nepal’s top agent.

Dhwaj became a branch manager after doing good work in the role of an agent in Nepal Life. The company’s top management team along with him had gone to visit dadeldhura branch. At that time, there was no regional office of the insurance company. On the way, the flag made a regional concept. If there is a regional concept in insurance companies, the expected business can be done. He reached his destination, saying that insurance access will increase, insurance will also be good in terms of literacy.

Even while living there, they prepared a blueprint for the regional concept. A year later, Dhwaj became nepal’s first regional manager at Nepal Life. There was no province at that time. He played the role of regional manager in four zones. Dhwaj, who joined Nepal Life from an agent, went from branch manager to regional manager. He worked in Nepal Life from 2058 to 2073.

Dhwaj is successful in the insurance sector today due to his hard work. He continued to think of hard work and perseverance as an important part of his life. Dhwaj, who worked hard from an early age and had big dreams, is successful today, just like the ‘smooth leaves of the plant to be’. Dhwaj, who has reached here after overcoming many obstacles and struggles in life, says, “To be successful, you have to choose the right path, face obstacles, obstacles and obstacles. One day you will definitely reach the destination. ’

In 2074 BS, 10 life insurance companies got licenses in the Nepali insurance market at the same time. Dhwaj, who has a long experience in the insurance sector, is citizen life raje. He had been associated with the company since he was preparing to come to Citizen Life. Dhwaj entered Citizen Life as the first employee of Sales. Dhwaj, who was interested in sales from an early age, entered citizen and started working as a chief business officer.

Asked why he chose Citizen Life when many new companies came to the market, Dhwaj said, “Nepali investment, skilled investors, experienced management team and young team with new zeal and enthusiasm, insurance products, etc. attracted me to this company. When the company opened, I entered the company thinking about it. Even today, the energy of the team, the way of working, the staff team, the leadership, all the energy has not decreased. Even now, we are in healthy competition with old companies in the market. ’

Citizen Life focuses a lot on capacity building training for its team, says Dhwaj. If the agents and employees are well educated, then the insurance understanding is better among the general public. Citizen Life has been providing training to the employees in many subjects including banking and digital by bringing citizen college into operation with the aim of providing external knowledge not only to the company but also to the employees.

Dhwaj shares his experience of entering the insurance sector and some changes in the present times. However, even educated people are still not trying to understand insurance, he said. “Earlier, when I entered the insurance sector, people’s understanding of insurance was negative,” he says, “Now insurance access has expanded, but there are still many who do not want to understand insurance.” ’

However, if you can pay the insurance, everyone believes that the insurance will be done by everyone. “Agents are representatives of the company,” he said, adding, “They present themselves to the general public with insurance education and insurance awareness.” That’s how the common man understands. If you have a good education, you understand insurance well. Since the agent is the main character of the company, the agent should be first educated and sent to the market only by giving good knowledge. ’

Dhwaj, who has worked in the insurance sector for a long time, believes that there are many agents in the insurance sector. “Some agents enter the insurance sector for income,” he said, adding, “Some agents have money but enter the insurance sector for respect.” An agent is professionally working as a long-term career maker. ’

He said that whatever kind of agents enter the insurance sector, if the company creates an opportunity for them to survive long-term by giving them knowledge about insurance, paying insurance, then any agent will be long-term. “Insurance is a basic requirement for all. Just as gas, bamboo and cotton are needed, insurance is also necessary,” he said, adding, “Insurance is more important for those who have less income than for those who have a low income. Because those with high incomes can easily overcome the risks of tomorrow. However, those who work in the morning and eat in the evening cannot afford the risk. Yes, if they insure, the insurance company will provide relief when there is a risk tomorrow. ’

When asked by Insurance Khabar how difficult it is to handle his responsibilities, Dhwaj said that there are many challenges. “But the goal will not be achieved if you do it with a headache or laziness at work. As much as the work is done with joy, it is done happily. The same success will be achieved,” he said, adding, “The responsibility of various tasks including branch management, target meet, management team, agent is in his lap.” If we move forward by handling all the challenges and obstacles, then we can move forward by putting the challenge under our feet. ’

Citizen Life is making a name for itself in the insurance market and providing simple and easy service to the customers. “In the coming days, we will come more sophisticated,” he said, urging the customers to take the service with confidence. It is better in terms of service than other companies. Now Citizen Life is also ahead in digital payments. Gradually, we make it paperless. ’

According to Dhwaj, most of the payments now take place through digital means. “Citizen Life has been holding the same gorato as it is easier for the customer or the insured,” he said.
