Kathmandu. Nvidia, the world’s most valuable company, plans to resume chip sales in China.
Nvidia plans to re-sell the H20 AI chip in China. Recently, Nvidia CEO Jenson Huang visited Beijing. He then met US President Donald Trump and announced his plans to sell chips in China.
Due to national security concerns, the US had banned the export of Nvidia’s AI chips to China. Nvidia, listed on the US stock market, said the company had lost $15 billion in revenue due to export restrictions.
Nvidia is preparing to submit a petition to the US government to resume exports of H20 Graphics Processing Unit (GPU) to China. “The chips will be exported to China as soon as they get permission from the government,” Nvidia said in a statement.
The statement expressed hope that the US government will allow Nvidia to export chips to China.
In April, Nvidia criticised the U.S. ban on chip exports to China. – Agency
