Kathmandu. By now, you may have heard that people consider AI chatbots as friends, partners, or even husbands. But now AI i.e. Artificial Intelligence has also taken the place of ministers. It sounds a little strange. However, a small country called Albania has taken this unique step in the world.

The Albanian government has appointed a new minister, whose name is ‘Dilla’. The special thing is that DALA is not a human but a virtual plant made of AI. Its job is to handle government public procurement. Reducing corruption and bribery in the process.

Albania’s Prime Minister Edi Rama announced his new cabinet on Thursday, Politico reported. During this time, he introduced Dyla. Its name symbolizes ‘sun’ in Albanian. Rama said, “The job of DILA is to manage government tenders and it will decide to award projects to private companies. ’

The most important thing is that Diala is designed in such a way that she will not be influenced by bribes, threats or prejudice of any kind. Rama claims that with the arrival of the DALA, government tenders in Albania will be completely corruption-free. ’

Albania, a Balkan country, has long struggled with a corruption problem. There are cases of irregularities and bribery, especially in government tenders. Not only this, drug and arms smuggling gangs are active in Albania. Those who infiltrate the government system to launder their black money.

Albania is also facing difficulties in joining the European Union (EU) due to corruption. Prime Minister Rama’s goal is for Albania to become part of the EU by 2030. But experts say it’s too difficult. To fulfill this dream, D.A. has been made a minister.

Dyla is not a new face in Albania. Earlier this year, DLA was launched as a virtual assistant on the e-Albania platform. This platform helps Albanian citizens and businesses to obtain government documents. Dyla appears in traditional Albanian attire and takes orders through a voice.

The Albanian government has not specified how much human oversight there will be over the DIA’s decisions. It is not even said how it will behave or avoid the situation if someone tries to hack or influence this AI bot wrongly. The more advanced the technology, the more risky it can be.
