Which commercial bank has made how much dividend capacity till the third quarter? (with list)

Kathmandu. Commercial banks have earned a profit of Rs 41.25 billion in the third quarter of the current fiscal year (July-April).

According to the data released by the Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) for the nine months of the current fiscal year, 20 commercial banks have earned a profit of Rs 41.25 billion. In the same period last year, commercial banks had earned a profit of Rs 40.68 billion. The bank’s profit increased by 1.40 percent in the review period compared to the previous year.

During the review period, the profit of 11 banks has increased while the profit of nine banks has decreased. Nabil Bank is at the top of the list with the highest profit till the review period. Nepal Bank is ahead in terms of profit growth.

In terms of profit earnings, 19 commercial banks listed in NEPSE have the capacity to distribute an average dividend of 7.5 percent till the third quarter.

Everest Bank’s dividend capacity has been made public till the third quarter. The bank is expected to disburse 34.09 per cent dividend so far.

Standard Chartered Bank Nepal is in second place. The bank has the capacity to distribute 19.35 percent dividend till March.

Sanima Bank is in third place. Sanima Bank’s profitability is 18.92 percent.

Similarly, Nabil Bank can distribute 12.68 per cent dividend, Krishi Bikas Bank 12.25 per cent, Global IME Bank 12.04 per cent, Nepal SBI Bank 11.10 per cent, Prime Commercial Bank 10.57 per cent, NMB Bank 6.65 per cent, Laxmi Sunrise Bank 3.17 per cent, Nepal Bank 2.78 per cent, Siddhartha Bank 1.75 per cent and Citizens Bank 1.69 per cent.

Machhapuchchhre Bank’s dividend capacity is 0.36 percent till the third quarter, while Himalayan Bank, Prabhu Bank, Kumari Bank, NIC Asia Bank and Nepal Investment Mega Bank will not be able to pay dividend.

Rastriya Banijya Bank is not listed in NEPSE. However, the bank has not been able to pay dividends till the third quarter.
