Kathmandu. Banks and financial institutions provide ATM cards for their customers to transact easily. With this arrangement, the cumbersome process of going to the bank and exchanging cheques when there is an urgent need for money has also come to an end.
Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) has made various provisions in information and assistance related to ATM cards. Banks and institutions should keep the name, contact number and name, address and telephone number of the concerned employee in both Nepali and English languages if their customers need immediate assistance related to atm transactions.
The central bank has issued a notice for financial information. According to the NRB, if banks and financial institutions do not operate their ATMs due to some technical problems, then the information should be immediately sent to the concerned ATM operating institution and if necessary, to the card issuing institution.
