What is the market share of insurance companies in NEPSE when their market capitalization increases by 23%?

Kathmandu. The market capitalization of all sectors has increased in the stock market. Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) has released this data for the 11 months of the current fiscal year.

According to the data, the market capitalization of insurance companies in NEPSE has increased by 23.3 percent in the last one year. The market capitalization of insurance companies has increased from Rs 508.80 billion to Rs 627.13 billion in the current fiscal year.

During this one year, there has been a surge in the interest of business group investors. The market capitalization of the business group increased by 1269.6 percent to Rs 234.97 billion from Rs 17.15 billion in the previous year.

In the last one year, the market capitalization of the investment group has increased by 46.7 percent. The investment group’s market capitalization has increased from Rs 241.31 billion to Rs 354.3 billion at the end of the review period.

Similarly, the market capitalization of other groups increased by 43.8 percent. The total market capitalization of the hydropower group has increased from Rs 313.48 billion to Rs 450.75 billion at the end of the review period.

Similarly, the market capitalization of hydropower group has increased by 41.5 percent, development bank by 30.7 percent, hotel by 27.1 percent, finance group by 7.9 percent, microfinance by 0.9 percent and production and processing by 8.1 percent in the last one year.

The market capitalization of the banking group has increased by 20.6 percent in this one year. The market capitalization of the banking group has increased from Rs 866.34 billion to Rs 1,044.48 billion at the end of the review period.

During the last one year, the total market capitalization of NEPSE has increased by 32.1 percent to Rs 4423.3 billion. Nepse’s market capitalization stood at Rs 3,349.47 billion as of May last year.

Commercial bank group has 23.6 percent market capitalization, development bank group 4.5 percent, finance company group 1.8 percent, microfinance group 8 percent, insurance company group 14.2 percent, production and processing group 5.5 percent, hotel group 2.8 percent, business group 5.3 percent, investment group 8 percent, hydropower group 16.1 percent and other groups 10.2 percent.
