Global IME Bank is among those that have increased the maximum interest rate on personal term deposits. In Chaitra, Global IME has increased it to 6 percent, Kumari has maintained it at 6.01 percent and Citizens has maintained it at 5.85 percent. In Falgun, Global offered the maximum interest rate on personal term deposits at 5.75 percent, Kumari at 5.31 percent, and Citizens at 5.5 percent.
Similarly, Himalayan and Nepal Bank have reduced the maximum interest rate on personal term deposits. Himalayan Bank has reduced the interest rate from 6.25 percent in Falgun to 5.5 percent in Chaitra, while Nepal Bank has reduced it from 5.60 percent to 5.50 percent.
On the other hand, national-level development banks have kept the interest rate on fixed deposits stable for Chaitra.
Banks have published the interest rates applicable in Chaitra today, Falgun 29. According to the published information, 8 national-level development banks have continued the maximum interest rate on term deposits of Falgun for Chaitum.
National-level development banks Muktinath, Garima, Kamana Sewa, Jyoti, Shine Resunga, Jyoti, Lumbini and Shangrila had offered a maximum interest rate of 6.5 percent on individual term deposits in Falgun. They have continued the same interest rate in Chaitum as well.
