Kathmandu. Israel’s ground offensive and continued airstrikes in Gaza have further escalated tensions in the Middle East. As the humanitarian crisis worsens in the region, the international community is trying to find a solution.

With the entry of Israeli forces into Gaza City, the airstrikes have also intensified. At least 41 people have died. The attack has forced thousands of Palestinians to flee in search of a safe place to live. Much of the city has been destroyed and the lack of safe zones has made the situation worse for the citizens.

Genocide Warning to the United Nations

In a recent report, the United Nations has described Israel’s Gaza war as a “genocide”. The report blamed high-level Israeli officials for this. This has further highlighted the need for adherence to international law and accountability on a global scale.

Diplomatic Alliance of the Arab Islamic World

An Arab-Islamic summit was held in Qatar’s capital Doha to find a solution to the crisis. The leaders of the participants strongly condemned Israel’s attacks on Gaza and Qatar. However, the summit failed to emerge as countries with diplomatic ties with Israel, such as the United Arab Emirates, Morocco and Bahrain, did not make a concrete decision on severing or suspending the relationship. This has highlighted the diplomatic divisions within the Arab world.

Opposition and unrest within Israel

As the intensity of the attack has intensified, protests have also started within Israel. The families of Israeli hostages have been protesting against the government’s move, saying the lives of their loved ones are at risk. Their protest shows how costly the human cost of war is for both sides.

There is no sign of an immediate end to the crisis. Unless the international community takes concrete steps to protect and protect civilians, the suffering in Gaza and tensions around the world are bound to escalate.
