U.S. court rules most of Trump’s tariffs illegal

Kathmandu. The U.S. Appeals Court has ruled that most tariffs imposed by President Donald Trump are illegal.

President Trump has also reacted to the court’s decision. “All tariffs are still in place,” he wrote on Truth Social. Today a very partisan appeals court wrongly said that our tariffs should be removed, but they know that eventually america will win. ’

This decision of the court can create a legal conflict. Which could affect Trump’s foreign policy plans.

This decision affects Trump’s “reciprocal tariffs.” Which has been imposed in most countries of the world.

It has tariffs imposed on China, Mexico and Canada. In a 7–4 ruling, the U.S. Federal Circuit Appeals Court rejected the Trump government’s argument that these tariffs were imposed under the Emergency Economic Powers Act.

The court declared Trump’s actions “against the law” and “invalid”. This decision will not be applicable until October 14. So that the government gets time to appeal to the Supreme Court for a hearing on the matter.
