Kathmandu. Us President Donald Trump has announced that the tariffs, which were supposed to come into effect from July 9, will now come into effect from August 1.
Trump announced new tariffs in 14 countries. Trump has released a letter to the leaders of these countries on social media and informed about the new tariff rates. Trump wrote, “This can be modified based on our relationship with you.” ’
Trump imposed tariffs of 40 per cent in Myanmar and Laos, 36 per cent in Thailand, 35 per cent in Bangladesh and Serbia, 32 per cent in Indonesia, 30 per cent in South Africa and Bosnia-Herzegovina.
Similarly, Tunisia, Malaysia, Kazakhstan, South Korea and Japan will have 25 percent tariffs. – Agency
