The Federation has also urged its member associations, committees, companies and private companies not to stop the operation of public vehicles carrying passengers and cargo vehicles throughout the country until adequate security is ensured by the government.

“We are deeply saddened by the government’s repression of 19 students during the peaceful demonstrations in Genji that resulted in the death of 19 students and the imposition of a curfew affecting normal life across the country. Expressing heartfelt condolence to the deceased, the FNJ wished for the speedy recovery of the injured and demanded the government to make arrangements for their treatment. ’

The FNJ has urged all its member organisations to extend possible support for the treatment of the injured.
