Third edition of Nepal Engineering College’s IGNIUM concluded

Kathmandu. Kathmandu: The third edition of The Neck Ignition of Nepal Engineering College has concluded with grandeur. This year’s edition of IGNIUM, aimed at highlighting the innovative thinking, information technology and engineering disciplines of engineering students, has been different and grander than in the past.

Coordinator of NEC Ignitium, Assistant Professor Bishwadeep Mainali, said that the students of the college presented their knowledge, skills and art in the three-day program. “This time the ignium was different and grander than the previous ignium. The program has been successful in highlighting the knowledge, skills and art and ideas of information technology and engineering students studying in Nepal Engineering College. Coordinator Mainali said.

The nec ignium was inaugurated by Bhaktapur constituency-2 lawmaker Durlabh Thapa. On the occasion, he said that the talents inherent in the students and the newly promoted knowledge, skills and art in the field of engineering would be highlighted.

In the open science competition at Neck Ignium, Avtonomus won rs 30,000. The Integrated Agriculture System was the runner-up. Team Arch One won in the Rovert category while Rovo Cortex was the runner-up. Aayush Shrestha’s team won the popsicle bridge while Urgen Tamang’s team finished runners-up.

Similarly, tuned liquid pen damper team won the innovative infrastructure challenge. The runner-up of the tournament was the underground recharge system in The Kathmandu Valley. Arya Pokharel’s computer group won the One World, One Solution category while Suraj Prajapati was the runner-up. In the poster design competition, Bibek Basukala (Machhindranath) won the race while Nirvana Saud (Modernisation) became the runner-up.

On the other hand, In the hackathon category, Cod Rush won and Team Rocket finished runners-up. Vivek Basukala won the model exhibition while the runner-up was the cluster design team. In the Tech X category, The Optimal Solar Power Grid team won while SCADA finished runners-up. College board member, teachers’ representative Professor Savitri Tripathi, among others, distributed prizes and certificates to the winners.

The hackathon was held on Tuesday on the first day of The Neck Ignium. On the second day on Wednesday, an internal program titled ‘One World One Solution’ was held to promote collaboration and integrated innovation. Students from Engineering College and Plus Two Science College witnessed the last day’s competitive exhibition. Stalls were also set up from various industries in the exhibition.

College Principal Durga Prasad Bhandari said that NEC Ignium has been working to highlight the talents of engineering students and enhance their capabilities and share knowledge with each other.

College students displayed attractive flash mobs at various colleges in the capital to promote neck ignitium. Flash mobs were conducted at Thapathali Campus, Pulchowk Engineering, Lalitpur Engineering, NCIT, Everest Engineering, Khwap Engineering and Shagarmatha Engineering Colleges.
