Kathmandu. Qatar Airways has temporarily suspended flights to Pakistan due to the closure of Pakistani airspace.
Qatar Airways announced on social media X that flights to Pakistan have been suspended. “The airline is closely monitoring the situation and will continue to prioritise the safety of its passengers and crew,” it said.
The airline has advised passengers to visit the official website of Qatar Airways for the latest information on the affected flights.
Pakistani authorities have announced the closure of airspace covering major cities of Lahore and Karachi.
According to CNN, Air France Airlines has suspended flights over Pakistan until further notice and is changing its flight plans for some destinations.
German airline Lufthansa also told Reuters news agency it would avoid Pakistani airspace until further notice. – Agency
