Kathmandu. While modern digital technology has provided us with easy financial services, the risk of its misuse has also increased. Therefore, it is necessary to use such technologies with high security.
For this, let’s understand the three levels of security
First – Something you know:## This level refers to information that only you know. Which includes your password, PIN number or answer to a secret question. This level of security depends primarily on your knowledge and memory.
Second – Something You Have: This level includes items that only you have access to. For example – your mobile phone, bank card or security token. These items help verify your identity and provide security to your financial transactions.
Third – Your Own (Something You Are): This includes your personal biometric details such as fingerprints, facial or eye scans, etc.
The Nepal Rastra Bank has issued a notice for financial awareness and informed about this. ‘Let’s use the mentioned authentication methods for digital financial transactions and keep such details strictly confidential,’ the central bank said.
