Kathmandu. As of Wednesday (October 7), all non-life insurance companies have paid around Rs 100 for physical and other damages caused during the recent agitation. It has reached Rs 23.22 billion.
A total of 3,099 insurance claims received by 14 non-life insurance companies and four micro non-life insurance companies have received around Rs. The NEA has received data from non-life insurance companies that claim amount is Rs 23.22 billion.
Out of the total claim amount received by the non-life insurance companies, about Rs. Rs 1.29 billion has been paid. The non-life insurance companies have deployed 2,706 surveyors till Wednesday to prepare survey reports of damages and the surveyors have submitted 374 survey reports so far.
