Kathmandu. Non-life micro-insurers have made a business of about Rs 690 million in the third quarter of the current fiscal year (July-April).

Four non-life micro insurers have sold 277,098 insurance policies in the last nine months and earned a total insurance premium of Rs 686.7 million. Nepal Micro Insurance has the highest number of business arrivals till Mid-April. The company has earned a total insurance premium of Rs 193.6 million by selling 77,351 policies.

Protective Micro Insurance is the second largest source of business. The company has sold 69,157 insurance policies and earned a total insurance premium of Rs 175.7 million.

Similarly, Star Micro Insurance earned Rs 163.2 million by selling 74,365 policies and Trust Micro Insurance earned Rs 154 million by selling 56,225 policies.
