Kathmandu. The fifth edition of the Himalayan Travel Mart is just three days away. The fair will be held at Hotel Soaltee in Tahachal from Tuesday.
The fair is being organized with the objective of promoting services and trade related to tourism and tourism business in Tibet along with South Asian countries. Earlier in 2023, the fourth edition of the fair was jointly organized at Hotel Annapurna and Yak and Yeti.
Himalayan countries like Nepal, India, Pakistan, Tibet (China) and Bhutan will participate in the fair. Suresh Budal, CHIEF Executive Officer of Pacific Asia Travel Association (PATA) Nepal, said that delegates from 100 countries from 30 different countries have been invited.
The fair is scheduled to be held from June 10 to June 15. This tourism fair is being developed as an opportunity to make Nepal known internationally.
The Mart will provide unlimited opportunities for the promotion and marketing of the country’s tourism destinations, goods and services, as well as exchange of trade between tourism and hospitality organizations, companies and businessmen and personalities associated with various sectors related to the Himalayan tourism sector.
Foreign visitors are being made to experience the forests, mountains and adventure tourism of Chitwan, Sairaha, Pokhara, Baglung before the commencement of the fair. Similarly, after the conclusion of the fair, tourism sites of Kathmandu Valley and Dhulikhel will be visited.
