Kathmandu. The Export and Import Bank of China Bank has appointed Sanima Bank Limited as an agent bank for Nepal to act as a financial facilitator for two hydropower projects including Manang Marsyangdi Hydropower Pvt Ltd (135 MW) 1 and Langtang Bhotekoshi Hydropower Pvt Ltd (120 MW) 1. Sanima Bank Limited and The Export and Import Bank of China Bank signed the agreement at a special ceremony held at The Export and Import Bank of China Bank’s China-based Sichuan branch.
Hem Raj Sanjyal, Chief Deposit Officer of Sanima Bank (Agent Bank) and Ms. Wu Yanhui, Vice President of The Export and Import Bank of China Bank signed the agreement on behalf of their respective organizations.
Chief Executive Officer of Sanima Bank Nischal Raj Pandey, Chairman of The Export and Import Bank of China Bank’s Sichuan Branch Mr. Chen Shengrong and Chairman of SGIC International Mr. Liao Bin were also present on the occasion.
Chief Executive Officer of Sanima Bank Nischal Raj Pandey expressed his gratitude to all the stakeholders for trusting Sanima Bank to work as an agency bank.
He expressed the belief that the significant collaboration with The Export and Import Bank of China Bank would help sanima bank to expand its international trade relations and promote trade. He expressed the hope that such cooperation in the fields of energy, hydropower, trade infrastructure and infrastructure would contribute significantly to Nepal.
Similarly, representatives of The Export and Import Bank of China Bank and the main investment companies expressed a joint commitment to facilitate the timely completion of the project. Expressing the view that sanima bank’s role would be important in this regard, he said that the experience gained from these projects would prove to be a milestone in such collaboration in other areas in the future.
In addition, sanima bank has been successful in bringing the largest amount of chinese currency in Nepal to make these projects successful and such actions will increase the efficiency of the bank in the coming days, increase the credibility of Sanima Bank at the national and international level and contribute significantly to the sustainable development of the country.
