Kathmandu. Leading automobile manufacturer Tata Motors has quietly updated its vehicle portfolio.
The company has launched a new Red Dark Edition of its popular SUV Nexon CNG in the domestic market. The starting price of this new Dark Edition has been set at Rs 12.70 lakh (ex-showroom). This new variant comes with dual-cylinder CNG technology.
The Nexon CNG Red Dark Edition has seen some cosmetic changes. Which are made on its exterior. It includes red color accents, dark themed finish and premium interior. Its wheels have been given a bold carbon black paint finish with red color accents. Which makes this SUV more sporty.
Last year in September, the company launched the Nexon ICNG. At that time, the starting price of this SUV was set at Rs 8.99 lakh. Now the company has brought its Red Dark Edition in 3 new variants Creative Plus S, Creative Plus PS and Fearless Plus PS.
Talking about the engine, this edition has a 1.2-liter turbo petrol engine. Which gives a maximum power of 99 bhp. It has Direct CNG Start technology. Which makes it the first turbocharged CNG model in the Indian market. This special edition comes exclusively with a 6-speed manual gearbox, just like the standard variant.
The cabin receives refined touches with red leather upholstery, striking red stitching and glossy piano black details. In terms of features, it has a 10.2-inch infotainment display, 360-degree camera, digital instrument panel, 6 speakers from JBL, smartphone connectivity, ventilated seats, wireless charging and a panoramic sunroof.
Other features include a two-spoke steering wheel with illuminated logo, hill-hold control, steering-mounted controls, ISOFIX child seat mount, reverse parking sensors, rear AC vents, tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS), rear power outlet, engine start/stop button and air purifier.
The Tata Nexon is one of the safest SUVs in India. It has received a 5-star rating in crash tests. As far as mileage is concerned, its petrol variant gives a mileage of around 17 km/l, the diesel variant gives a mileage of 23 km/l. The CNG variant also gives a mileage of up to 17 km/kg.
