Kathmandu. Giving away the tradition of providing various items as dowry and gifts for weddings and auspicious ceremonies, Double Bahadur Tamang of Baiteshwor Rural Municipality-1 in Dolakha has gifted the insurance scheme of Rs 500,000 to his daughter-in-law on the occasion of his son’s marriage.
Tamang said that the insurance policy was handed over to the daughter-in-law with the objective of making the future bright in the coming days and developing the habit of saving.
Tamang, who has been an agent at Surya Jyoti Life Insurance for the past 1 year, said that the insurance policy was handed over as a gift considering the habit of saving and the risk in the future.
Chairperson of Melung Rural Municipality Hira Thokar, advocate Pamphi Bhujel and Hitaishi Small Farmers Agriculture Cooperatives Ltd. were present on the occasion. Mr. Madhav Prasad Ghimire, Chairman of Surya Jyoti Life Insurance Company Ltd. Chuda Bahadur Shrestha, chief of Charikot branch, Yamuna Moktan, sales executive of Charikot branch, agency manager and agency were also present on the occasion.
