Kathmandu. Suryajyoti Life Insurance has signed an agreement with Nepal Clearing House to implement the system of making payment related transactions through digital means using the payment systems of Nepal Clearing House. Chief Executive Officer of SuryaJyoti Life Insurance Prakash Bikram Khatri and Chief Executive Officer of NCHL Nilesh Man Singh Pradhan signed the agreement on behalf of their respective organizations.
After this agreement, Suryajyoti Insurance will be able to use various payment tools by connecting its internal system with NCHL’s National Payment Interface. Under this, Suryajyoti Life Insurance will be able to do various collection transactions including its premium payment through NCHL ICS and RPS systems and various types of payment related transactions including agent commission, salary, vendor payment, government revenue, social security fund, citizen investment fund payment directly into the bank account of its and beneficiaries. In addition, other payments are also planned to be implemented gradually in the future.
Developed under the concept of Open API as an integrated interface of nchl’s various payment systems, NPI currently has 53 member banks and financial institutions, while more than 110 non-banking institutions including other PSPs/PSOs, remittance companies, microfinance, merchant banks, government and semi-government institutions are associated as indirect/technical members.
