Kathmandu. Sun Nepal Life Insurance has conducted special training on Anti Money Laundering (AML) and Combating the Financing of Terrorism (CFT) with an aim to enhance the capacity of its employees and ensure regulatory compliance. The training was conducted at Ratnagiri Resort in Nagarkot.
Subas Bhandari, head of the company’s legal department, provided training on the occasion. The company pointed out the need to remain alert in time as global challenges such as money laundering and terrorist financing could affect the insurance sector as well.
He also gave detailed training on international standards related to AML/CFT, guidelines of the Government of Nepal and Insurance Authority, and practical procedures to be followed in day-to-day work.
Chief Marketing Officer of the company Ganesh Chaulagain and other officials of the company were present on the occasion.
At present, Sun Nepal Life Insurance Company operates life insurance business from 143 branches across the country.
