Kathmandu. Sushil Dev Subedi is to be appointed as the Executive Director of the Nepal Insurance Authority. The Authority’s Recruitment Committee recommended Subedi to be promoted to the post of Executive Director on Wednesday based on his highest score in the performance evaluation.
Subedi’s promotion will be formalized after the Authority’s Board of Directors approves the recommendation for his promotion. According to the notification published by the Recruitment Committee, Subedi has scored the highest 77.194 marks among the three candidates. The Recruitment Committee has informed that the notification regarding the promotion recommendation has been published for the purpose of Regulation 71 as the candidate has obtained the highest marks based on the total marks obtained for performance evaluation, seniority, educational qualification, and training as per the regulations of the Insurance Board Employee Service Conditions Regulation 2068.
Along with Subedi, the directors of the Authority, Kamal Prasad Regmi and Pujan Dhungel, were also in the competition. The post of Executive Director was vacant after the mandatory retirement of Raju Raman Poudel from the post of Executive Director on 12th Jestha.
Recently, Subedi was also responsible for the responsibility of the Secretary of the Authority’s Board of Directors and the spokesperson of the Authority. Apart from this, he is also the Chief Executive Officer of the Insurance Institute of Nepal (IIN), which is being operated by the Insurance Authority.
