Kathmandu. Subash Koirala is known as an agent in the insurance sector within a short time. He is an agency manager by profession. Subash is currently working in the Imadol branch of Citizen Life Insurance Company. He is busy spreading insurance education, insurance awareness and insurance awareness. “I have been spending a lot of time in the insurance market on how to provide security to people,” he said. ’
Born in 2033 BS in Chandrapur Municipality-6 of Rautahat, Subash is currently living in Imadol of Lalitpur. Having a normal childhood, Subash grew up in a middle-class family. Recalling his childhood, Subash said, “My childhood was not very easy. We had a big family. My father was a teacher. Our father’s job would not have been able to raise many of our children the way we wanted them to. However, the parents always encouraged everyone in the family to study. We were never stopped from reading. That’s why we got a good education at that time as well. From an early age, we learned to work hard. Today, it may be the result of this, the courage to face any situation. ’
Subash has completed his BBS studies. After completing his SLC from his native place, he entered Kathmandu with a golden dream in the course of higher education. “At that time, there used to be very few post-SLC education in the village. That is why it was customary to come to Kathmandu for post-SLC studies,” he said. ’
Subash is a home business investor before entering Citizen Life. Even now, he has been carrying forward the work he is doing along with the agent. Subash, who has been busy with his daily routine, has entered the insurance sector with the inspiration of Tejendra Subedi, branch manager of Citizen Life Imadol branch. Subash was already known to subedi, the branch chief. And while chatting, Subash also took interest in the agent profession and branch chief Subedi gave subash knowledge about the insurance sector, company’s policies and insurance. Subedi said, “If you like the insurance sector, work as an agent, you can do it. The agent profession is punya’s job. After suggesting that he could serve others from it, Subash also started working from Citizen Life with the courage to do so because he was interested in social service.
Subash entered the insurance sector only in January last year. He started the first insurance on his own. He has sold more than 33 insurance policies in a short span of three months. Although he has just entered this profession, he says that he is satisfied with this profession in a short time. Even before coming to the insurance sector, he had a general understanding of insurance. However, he said that he knew a lot about insurance after coming to the insurance sector. Although he felt it was difficult to take up the agent profession in the early days of the agent profession, branch chief Tejendra Koirala, senior agency managers Pabitra Mahat Bista and Rajendra Panta’s support, support and support gave him a lot of encouragement and energy to work.
“An insurance agent is a purely social profession,” said Subash, adding, “I am also a home business investor. There is a lot of investment in this business, but the returns also come good. However, the profession that can be done without the agent profession, that is also for the benefit of myself, after doing every work, there is very little return, but I found this profession very good because it is done for the protection of the lives of others rather than myself. If someone insures by saying two or four words and explaining the benefits and features of insurance, then his life is protected. When there was a risk disaster, it was resorted. That’s what attracted me to the agent profession. ’
Subash said that he has been insisting on including people with low incomes in insurance rather than big people i.e. people with high incomes. “Because insurance can be a friend of misery for those with less money than for people with a lot of money.” Those who have a lot of money can cover the risk when there is some risk,” he said, “But it is difficult for those who do not have money.” Therefore, if those with low income get insurance done on time, then tomorrow insurance will support in difficult situations. This is not to say that there is no work for those who have insurance money, but that there is support for those who have low income. Insurance should be done by everyone. Insurance is indispensable for everyone. Insurance is the fourth basic necessity of a person’s life, like gas, bamboo, and cotton. ’
Subash suggests that when offering insurance to people, they should sell only after considering their income, family situation and what kind of insurance policy suits them. He said that the agent should understand the insurance well and sell the policy for the benefit of the insured and not for his own interest. “By doing this, the confidence in insurance will increase,” he said.
“In recent times, if we look at Nepal, there are no people in a house except two elderly people,” says Subash, “That is why I have been giving insurance to everyone that if we get insurance at an early age, then insurance will become our support.” ’
Subash’s interest in this profession also increased because he wanted to connect with many people and serve the society. “Unlike other professions, there is no time limit in this profession. I liked the profession of an agent as it could be done even during leisure time,” he said.
Subash says that he has been getting encouragement and energy towards work while pursuing this profession. “Insurance is good for everyone, now I have the courage to bring many people under insurance,” he said.
Suba says people are still far behind in terms of insurance. “Even now, if you offer insurance somewhere, what is the use of the money you get after your death, but insurance is about yourself and your family when you are not there, and if you have insurance maturity in your own lifetime, then it will be good for yourself and your family,” he said. Therefore, if the Government of Nepal made insurance mandatory like in other countries, then everyone could use the benefits of insurance. In Nepal, it would have been better if life insurance was mandatory, just like bike car insurance was mandatory. ’
Subash says that there are many qualities to be successful in the agent profession. “There should be patience in this profession,” he said, adding, “Insurance may not come at the same time while going to get insurance, but if you keep following up, do not get angry, go only with knowledge about the company’s policies, honesty, do not show big dreams to the customers, tell the characteristics of the policy, tell the company what the specialties of the policy are, if the company tells the insured about the things that the company can do when the claim or insurance maturity takes place tomorrow.” ’
Subash, who has achieved success in the insurance sector in a short time, has also won the diamond club award. He says that getting the award in a short time has given him more enthusiasm to join this field.
